Horrible Bosses - Review? Loved It!

Just a quick one (quick? from me? hah!) since I haven't posted in a little too long. My friend of the same name wanted to go see Horrible Bosses the other day, a movie I'd never even heard of prior to...well, the other day. Friday, to be specific. Apparently the very day it came out.

I asked my friend what it was about, because I'm not usually one to shell out the $10-$20 for the typical theater experience. I didn't even realize at the time that it was the very first day of showing, but I knew she wanted to intended for us to see it in the theater, nevertheless.

Horrible Bosses stars Jason Bateman (Nick) and Jennifer Aniston (Dr. Harris). Frankly it stars a bunch of other people too, but apparently they don't matter enough to the people listing the credits.

Most notably to me, it stars the cynical guy from American Beauty. I love that guy! I guess I mean I love Kevin Spacey (Mr. Harken), but not like that. But in mentioning people not important enough, I shouldn't forget Charlie Day (Dale), Colin Farrell (Bobby Pellitt), Jason Sudeikis (Kurt), and even Jamie Foxx (Mother F**ker Jones).

I'm not sure which movie I've seen Jason Sudeikis in before but the entire time I kept mistaking him for the Nikelodeon Double Dare guy that now does Unwrapped.

Magic School Bus on XKCD (and Other Childhood Favorites)

http://xkcd.com/911/

I don't read XKCD much, but I've liked many of the ones I've read.

This one in particular caught my fancy since I used to love watching The Magic School Bus and even caught an episode or two within the past year. The Magic School Bus is one of the many things I miss about being a kid, along with My Little Pony, Hello Kitty, and Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?

Not that all cartoons nowadays are bad (though many are), and not that all the cartoons from back in the day were great (though most were - yes, I'm being biased).

Tracy Morgan's Homophobic Rant: When is a joke not a joke?

NewsOne.com
Personally? To me? A joke is always a joke as long as you volunteer to hear it.

That means, if you go to watch a comedian, it implies that you've entered into an agreement with said comedian that he or she is permitted to express their views and opinions using whatever language they please. That is implied even if they are one that seems to be rather well-known for pushing the envelope and being controversial. Otherwise, why would you pay to see them?

Enter Kevin Rogers.

And Just Whose Weiners Do They Want to...

These silly Democrats want to conduct a Weiner investigation...

The fact that this photo shows 2 women is even better.

I actually saw this on CNN yesterday while watching TV and had to stop and snap a photo of the headline. Jay Leno, would you be interested??

Democrats want to investigate Republican Senator Anthony Weiner for reports of a sex scandal by sending raunchy photos of himself to women he met online. Senator Weiner allegedly sent photos of himself shirtless and even of his erection through his underwear. Some have even nicknamed the scandal Weinergate.

CNN - Next time you might want to think twice about how you word your headlines. Unless someone meant to be funny...

The Husband Store (Joke)

GadgetChick.com
A store that sells new husbands has opened in New York City where a woman may go to choose a husband. Among the instructions at the entrance is a description of how the store operates:

“You may visit this store ONLY ONCE! There are six floors and the cost and value of the products increase as the shopper ascends the flights. The shopper may choose any item from a
particular floor, or may choose to go up to the next floor, but you cannot go back down except to exit the building!

So, a woman goes to the Husband Store to find a husband. On the first floor the sign on the door reads:

Various Types of Geeks (Joke)

A friend of mine had this in his blog, so I had to borrow the link. I definitely would say I am a bit of a geek, but this now gives new meaning to the word. I'm sure everyone fits into at least one of these categories!

Very Clever Joke - Police Officer Makes a DUI Stop

Way2Noisy.Blogspot.com

A police officer was staking out a particularly rowdy bar for possible DUI violations. At closing time, he saw a fellow stumble out of the bar, trip on the curb and try his keys on five different cars before he found his. The man sat in the front seat fumbling around with his keys for several minutes.

Meanwhile, all the other patrons left the bar and drove off. Finally he started his engine and began to pull away.

The police officer was waiting for him. As soon as he pulled onto the street, the officer stopped him, read him his rights and administered the breathalyzer test to determine his blood-alcohol content.

The results showed a reading of 0.0.

The puzzled officer demanded to know how that could be.

The driver replied, "Tonight I'm the designated decoy."

Note: I obviously don't condone drunk driving whatsoever, but you have to admit this is clever from a joke standpoint.

Best Fat Jokes on Cyanide and Happiness

I loooove Cyanide and Happiness. It is probably my favorite all-time webcomic. I also like XKCD, Basic Instructions, and a couple others. XKCD even did a comic about The Magic Schoolbus, which was excellent. There is one comic that I'm looking for though, that I can't remember the name of! I saw it once or twice through Cracked (another favorite website). I have spent a good amount of time searching for it but I can't remember the name or anything. In fact, I almost wonder now if I am mixing it up with something that Seanbaby did on Cracked. The comic was old fashioned characters, drawn like they were straight out of the 50s and had vulgar text bubbles, but it was so great. Seanbaby frequently posts revised comics like that, and they are almost all fantastic, but I still think it was some regular webcomic. If that rings a bell with you, please be sure to let me know!

A Classic Female Joke

A woman was sitting at a bar enjoying an after work cocktail with her girlfriends when Steven a tall, exceptionally handsome, extremely sexy, middle-aged man entered. He was so striking that the woman could not take her eyes off him.

The young-at-heart man noticed her overly attentive stare and walked directly toward her (As ALL men will.) Before she could offer her apologies for staring so rudely, he leaned over and whispered to her, 'I'll do anything, absolutely anything, that you want me to do, no matter how kinky, for $20.00....

On one condition'
