It is the war times...
A bomber plane flies up into the air.
It makes its way to the enemy territory.
As the plane is flying over, the pilot presses a button to open the bay, it works.
The pilot then presses a button to release the clamp that holds the bomb. The bomb doesn't drop.
Why didn't the bomb fall?

Phillips GoGear Vibe MP3 Player Review
Not to sound like a shill, but I have to commend Phillips. If you want a great little MP3 player, I have to recommend the Phillips GoGear Vibe
I have the little black 4GB one, which is too small (on storage space) for most people, I know. The Phillips GoGear Vibe is nothing fancy. It's just a small device that could easily get lost in your pocket.
It isn't the latest and greatest. Far from it. No touchscreen. No fancy anything.

Bizarre Foods - Recipes from Way Back When
Yummy!
This site has some nostalgic and somewhat frightening finds that I guess Cate purchases at garage sales. Many of these are old cook books from back in the day, that contain very interesting recipes such as Hot in a Bun - which, by the way, serves 48 people.
What "Hot" is, that you can put it in a bun, I don't think I'll ever know. It sounds very sexy though, like, "Baby, I'll put some 'hot' in your buns!" Then again, it appears to be some sort of sausage mixture so I guess that may just be true.
If "Hot" serves 48, that's one awfully big orgy. Sounds like a party for the whole neighborhood.

10 Dangerous and Annoying Bad Habits of Some Drivers
I have a somewhat competitive nature when I am driving - for some reason - as I think most people do if they are willing to admit it.
But, whether it calmed me down or just made me even more furious, I started thinking about some of the most frustrating bad habits many driver's possess.
I'd also recently read an article, Top 10 Most Annoying Things Other Drivers Do, on Yahoo!. I agree with some, but here's what I think...

Frustrated With Blogger But Not Even Blogging?
Despite the apparent popular opinion, Blogger is very customizable. You can customize your template with widgets, third-party tools, code snippets, and more.
It may be require a few more manual repairs, but it can be done and it's not as difficult as it originally sounded, for someone who was mostly a beginner.
However, difficult or not, it's still somewhat daunting. Also time-consuming, and frustrating. Oh, so frustrating at times.
Nevertheless, I plow through the frustration in search of widgets and tweaks to make my blog a little more like everyone else's. Slowly but surely, it's falling into place.

Amazing Mind-Blowing Optical Illusion
I found this via Digg, but the actual image is at ICanHasInternets.com. It is just a simple image but when you take into account all that you see, it is very interesting. Really take a look at the details on this!

Reinventing My Blog: New Layout/Design!
I know at least a few people know this blog exists, and I'm ready for a touch of criticism. I can handle it.I just revised the entire layout. I've been wanting to do so for some time. The small text spreading across less than half the screen just wasn't appealing to me anymore. It looked very amateurish.
Now it looks a tad crowded to me, but not overly cluttered. I'm not great at the visuals though, so if you are reading this let me know what you think.
Too many fonts? Prefer simpler font choices? Don't like the color scheme? Prefer black text on a white background? Anything - let me know. I aim to please.

Thrifty Traveler's Advantage - Scam?
![]() |
Thrifty Car Rental - Blue Chip Membership
I called Thrifty Car Rental just a few days ago to ask a question about the shuttle service since I’d never had to use a shuttle service at a car rental before. The woman I initially talked to was a regular english speaking woman with no accent whatsoever and was generally helpful.
She invited me to save an additional so much for reserving my rental car over the phone. I wasn’t trying to place the reservation so I kind of avoided that topic. Before hanging up she said “You don’t want to be transferred to find out about the additional savings and $20 in free gas?”

And Just Whose Weiners Do They Want to...
These silly Democrats want to conduct a Weiner investigation...
The fact that this photo shows 2 women is even better.
I actually saw this on CNN yesterday while watching TV and had to stop and snap a photo of the headline. Jay Leno, would you be interested??

CNN - Next time you might want to think twice about how you word your headlines. Unless someone meant to be funny...

MaxMyPC? CleanMyPC? How About InfectMyPC?
If you are not familiar with computers and software, then you may not be familiar with the good, the bad, and the ugly. And like they say, "knowledge is power" - once you familiarize yourself with "the bad" and "the ugly" (spyware, viruses, malware, trojans, worms, adware, etc) you'll be far less likely to fall for any of it, because you'll know when it's a scam.
In the meantime, however, there are countless promises of miracle programs that will solve any problem. When it comes to computers, you can't fall back on the sensible solution of "if it sounds too good to be true..." because if you are not aware of what can't be done quickly and easily, then you won't know what is an impossibly good promise.
When you see commercials on TV advertising sites such as "MyCleanPC", "MaxMySpeed" and "MaxMyPC" you may not realize how impossible the claim is that they are trying to make. These sites and similar ones like them (StopSign.com, DoubleMySpeed.com, etc) make extremely convenient-sounding promises. The commercials for these sites show people sternly warning you that if your computer is slow, it could indicate the presence of viruses, spyware, malware, trojans, adware, etc. Just as you're getting worried, the person in the commercial assures you that with one easy click of said program (MyCleanPC, MaxMySpeed, MaxMyPC, whichever) it would scan your PC for said programs and your computer would be sped up, with some supposed users claiming speed increases of 100%! Sounds excellent, right?

Why I Hate Twitter (and Microblogging in General)
I don't hate this bird, though.
I could write about some things but I never really intended this blog to be about my day to day occurrences. Frankly, if I wanted that I'd go to Twitter. And if I wanted Twitter - well, I don't. There is no if.
Since I really don't want a Twitter, I'll write about it instead, why I think it's stupid. I hate the idea of microblogging in general, but Twitter and Tumblr are the only specific microblogging sites by name that I know of off-hand, and Twitter is by far the most popular. According to Wikipedia, status updates (such as on Facebook) are considered part of microblogging too. I generally hate Facebook status updates for the same reason.

Kymaro Glamour Eyes - A Ridiculously Stupid Infomercial
They were originally $39.95 - Now slashed to $19.95! Like, OMG!
"Are you tired of your short, limp, lousy lashes? Is your mascara just not cutting it anymore? Fed up with metal eyelash curlers that look like torture devices? Then you need Glamour Eyes!"
This is one of the most amazing infomercials I've ever seen. The Kymaro Glamour Eyes - Eyelash Extension Kit. The infomercial claims that "women everywhere now can improve the appearance of their eyes without makeup, creams, or surgery!"
In the infomercial, as well as on the site, there are before and after photos of women without and then with the fake lashes. Of course, the before photos include women wearing no makeup, and the afters include them wearing makeup as well as the lashes. Keep in mind I don't just mean eye makeup, I mean foundation, powder, the works. After all, they have to make the "before" shots look as washed out and dull as possible, right? One look at these women "before" and any man would cringe. "After", and obviously men will be drooling at their feet!

It's Like My First Steps, Only More Interesting!
Something like this...With Pizazz!
Three things before I post any actual material:
- This is my first post to my first real blog! YAY! Finally something more adult and worthwhile. I think it will be, anyways. *grin* Then again, like any of my other enthusiastically embarked on pet-projects, I may just end up starting this and tiring of it quickly out of running out of interesting materials to add. I guess that means that I should add crap, even if only a line or two, whether I feel like it or not.
- I'm starting out by copying some of my old stuff from my blog on MySpace, and since no one reads my crap on MySpace (or very few) and since I really don't like MySpace much to begin with, nor do I see any great purpose to it, I am posting it here. Because...
- I WANT comments! Hardly anyone replies to any bulletins or blogs that I post on MySpace, and the people that do, do not reply in the way I hope (that is, to give additional insight, ideas, or perspectives) - so MAYBE after I've posted a crapload to this blog, and maybe get some people to come across it, I will actually get some useful information!
Now that I've successfully started out with a great whining session about how MySpace sucks and convinced anyone who's come across this to leave because I have whined so much from the get go... I will post. I promise that subsequent posts will neither be about MySpace sucking, nor will they be full of whining. Most of them won't be, anyways. ;)
